I think it is because at christmas, people are meant to be kinder and more giving at christmas time so they are trying their luck. I hate taxi drivers

You are cheap. Otherwise you would have enough slaves to run a rota system and never be without a factotum, Christmas or no Christmas.

Because they can! The non-muslim drivers are stuck with their families.

Fancy becoming very rich, and becoming a Taxi driver and charging the normal fare at christmas time.
It would not bother me to work Two days, and new year to become a millionaire, and then i could have the longest holiday in a warm country ever…..

Here in my home town the charge flat rate and have done so for the past four years, Christmas eve used to be double, Boxing day fare and a half, New Years eve + day double. People weren’t using taxis at that cost. One taxi company decided to charge normal and the all followed suit !

They decided to take a leaf out of the UK banker’s book this year, as they got £7B bonuses and it weren’t even Christmas at the time……. so boo hoo!

Because it is that time of year. Like bankers, politicians, and just in general all spivs, taxi drivers have always known it is far better to receive than to give.

They are doing the normal thing in Britain and that’s taking advantage of a time and situation to rob peoples eyeballs out.
Anyway taxi drivers are known to deliberately go the long way round to increase the fare so it’s not a surprise to me that they overcharge on Xmas day, robbing sods.
